New addition of Starbucks brews employment opportunities at Parr Bridge Retail Park

Flexdane is proud to welcome Starbucks Drive-Thru to our Parr Bridge Retail Park development. The new business opening was celebrated with an official ribbon cutting on Friday 9th July by the Mayor of Wigan – Councillor Yvonne Klieve (as photographed). A local incentive offered by Starbucks gave the initial 200 customers a complimentary goody bag from the store as well as offering free coffee tasting sessions in the weeks following their opening.

The commercial development is ever-expanding with further shops and businesses set to join Parr Bridge Retail Park, is currently home to a Lidl supermarket and the Best Friends Childrens Day Nursery. We are eager for more businesses to join and create the opportunity to bring a more diverse mix of uses and activities to the development. A core ethic of our projects is to create employment for the local community, and the opening of the Starbucks Drive-Thru created 15 jobs, with the development set to create many more. We value helping the local community of Mosley Common to develop and prosper, both socially and economically.

The Parr Bridge development is situated half a mile to the north of the East Lancashire Road (A580), a main arterial route between Liverpool and Manchester City Centre, it also has excellent links to the M60 and M61. There is no need to worry about parking when visiting, as the retail park will benefit from 185 free car parking spaces when complete in 2022.

The commercial development is also well served by the Guided Bus Way, which runs between Leigh and Manchester– all in less than a 5 minute walk away.

Keep following our blogs to keep up to date with our Parr Bridge development, and see what other retailers join what is becoming a real community hub for Mosley Common.
